This horse-themed times tables game is a fun way to practice your multiplication tables. Horse Lover’s Math’s step by step guide will make getting your horse to the starting gate quick and easy!

To start your game go to My Smart Horse.

Note: Music will start playing when you go to the game page. You can choose to turn it off by clicking the microphone icon at the lower right of the screen.

Step 1

Click Next on the landing page introduction screen to choose between a number of different characters for who you want to be. Click on the arrows to scroll through the choices. Once you’ve decided, click Choose.

Step 3

After the practice session you get to name your horse. Click in the box and type your horse’s name in the space provided, then type enter (the return key on you keyboard). Click Next.

Step 5:

Now it’s time to choose to ride in Races, like the practice round you rode after you choose your horse, or you can compete in the Tournament.  If you join the tournament, you’ll race in 15 different places all around the world.

How to play

To win a horse race you have to overtake everyone by answering the math questions as quickly as possible. The faster you answer, the faster your horse runs. After a series of math questions a set of jumps will appear. Click the Jump button as you reach each obstacle. The race will alternate between math questions and jumps.

Stable

The stable is the place to keep your horse in good health and to make sure it has enough energy. You can take care of your horse with sponges, grooming and water after a tournament race. Click on the shower head and move it over your horse then click on the towel to dry her off!

Step 2

It’s time to choose the horse you want to ride! When you decide on a horse click Choose. You’ll be taken to a practice race that will show you how the game is played.

Step 4:

Once you’ve named your horse you have to feed her! You’ll be asked to shop for food to feed your horse. After all—she’ll need plenty of energy to run in the races! A white gloved hand will lead you through the shop. Just click on what it points to.

Race

Selecting Race allows you to practice the multiplication tables one by one. Choose the times table you want to practice and click start. A timer will count down 3-2-1 to the start the race, so be ready!

Tournaments

Competing in the tournaments will allow you to travel throughout the world. You’ll even participate in well-known races like Melbourne Cup, Epsom Derby and the Dubai World Cup.

Shop

After finishing your work in the stable you’ll be taken to a screen offering a Shop button at the bottom left. If you don’t want to shop click the Tournament button or Race button to continue racing. If you do want to buy something in the equestrian store you need coins for it. You get coins by answering questions correctly, winning a contest or unlocking achievements. If you want to unlock new items you have to win tournaments on the world map. Then you can, for example, buy a new saddle, horseshoes, blanket or a halter.
