Description
This 180 page horse math workbook is richly illustrated with photographs and hand drawn illustrations. The coil bound, softcover opens flat, making it easy for kids to make calculations, measure angles and follow instructions in the Things to Make and Do section.
The workbook is comprised of seven sections: Mustang Brands, A Trip to the Tack Store, Horse Science, Stable Management, Sports, Horse Facts and Math Games and Things to Make and Do. A summary page appears at the end of each section listing both the information about horses and the math used in the section. An Answers section allows kids to check their answers as they go.
Kids will see how fractions are used in multiple ways on Thoroughbred racetracks, and the importance of measurement when setting up dressage arenas or buying a new horse blanket. They’ll learn about the International Alpha Angle System, which is used to brand mustangs in the US, and the alphanumeric code for naming Assateague Island’s new foals.
Common Core Codes are included on pages where applicable and listed on each section’s Summary page.

My 12 year old, daughter was thrilled to know there was a second book to follow up with. I purchased immediately. She is enjoying it immensely and getting the answers correct:-)
The added “Did you Know?” on the side is of great interest. Thank you for that.
Ms. Deborah is a FANTASTIC person to work with in regards to customer service. Thank you again for a great curriculum.
Looking forward to any future products.

My daughter couldn’t put down Level 1. She is another lover of horses and appreciated the book so much. She does not love math, but what was created here is very special and kept her interest. If only every subject could intertwine each child’s interest with their general subjects. Finding this book reminded and refreshed me of why I homeschool. We are excited to start working on Level 2. I highly recommend this very unique approach to math. My daughter has learned so much from this math. It is very important to me that my children learn to think outside the box and learn math the way they will encounter it throughout their lives. I have 2 younger boys and I plan on having them do this math as well.

My daughter devoured Level 1 and was so excited to learn there was a Level 2! As with the first level, this product does a fantastic job of teaching math through real-world problems. We love the interesting information we learn about horses while doing the math as well. I highly recommend this for any horse lovers out there!

I love the way this curriculum applies math skills to real world situations. Also, it teaches students more details about horse care than they would get with typical riding lessons. I’m very impressed with the quality and quantity of materials at such a low price. Highly recommend!

This has been an excellent break from our regular math curriculum. My daughter is a homeschooled eighth grader and has been riding and studying horsemanship for several years. This math workbook is truly engaging and informative and very practical. While her regular math curriculum is more advanced, this has been wonderful for review and fostering the love of math and the practical application of it to something she loves. Most definitely worth it! I bought the pdf and had it bound at Office Depot for $5.

Horse Lover’s Math has been an amazing blessing for our family. My youngest daughter has dyslexia and has struggled with school for years. This has been the first math curriculum that she has embraced. She is naturally gifted in math but struggles with most math formats. This has helped her to learn more about her love of horses and become stronger with math as well. Because of the way the curriculum is created, she is also getting reading comprehension at the same time! It is a huge win/win for her – and for me as her Mom and her teacher. Thank you so much for creating an amazing product!!

My daughter is going into the 10th grade in (Kentucky) and is almost finished with the second book. She can not wait for the third one to be completed (and hated math before). Although the website says it’s geared toward lower grades (5-6) we found it completely appropriate for even high school material.
