Information We Collect
In running and maintaining our website we may collect and process the following data about you:
- Information about your use of our site including details of your visits such as pages viewed and the resources that you access. Such information includes traffic data, location data and other communication data.
- Information provided voluntarily by you. For example, when you register for information or make a purchase.
- Information that you provide when you communicate with us by any means.
- Information that you provide when you subscribe for newsletters or membership.
Some Horse Lover’s Math features and content are provided as a fee-based membership service available to users through a registration process.
We require consent from a parent when a child wants to register as a member. Paid membership requires the parent’s full name, email address, and credit card (or other payment method) billing information including mailing address. Credit card information is not stored by Horse Lover’s Math. Instead it is stored by our payments processing vendor for the purpose of processing payments made to Horse Lover’s Math. That information is safeguarded with appropriate security, and it will not be used for other purposes.
In the process of creating a membership process a child user establishes an account name, and child password.
We may also request a user name and email address when a user submits a form through the “Reply” and “Contact Us” portion of the Horse Lover’s Math website so that we may respond to the inquiry. We collect the e-mail address for the sole purpose of responding directly on a one-time basis to a specific inquiry.
For some of our Horse Lover’s Math online activities we may ask users to provide information that is not personally identifiable, such as country of residence or a user’s favourite colour. When participating in Horse Lover’s Math public activities we strongly encourage you not to disclose personal information (such as real name, email address, telephone number, etc.) and are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit.
We may gather information about your general internet use by using the cookie. Where used, these cookies are downloaded to your computer and stored on the computer’s hard drive. Such information will not identify you personally. It is statistical data. This statistical data does not identify any personal details whatsoever.
You can adjust the settings on your computer to decline any cookies if you wish. This can easily be done by activating the reject cookies setting on your computer.
