In 1956, two young, curly-coated stallions were bought by a man from Mountain View, Missouri, named Vic Clemens. Clemens bought the horses at an auction in Tennessee and had them shipped by train to Mountain View. The horses resembled Missouri Fox Trotter horses in build; they also were gaited. At the auction, Clemens could not find any information about where the horses came from and who were their previous owners. The background of these horses is still unknown today.
